This book is very over-hyped. I found the protagonists to be flat, as they tend to be described rather than doing anything to demonstrate their characters, so I never really felt any affection for either Emma nor Dexter. Nicholls also failed to convince me of why two such people would ever cling onto one another for so long, especially after only spending one brief night together. I also found the very false-sounding and cliched dialogue to be irritating

The must read book of the moment and it proved why in the reading. 20years in the lifes of two people getting to see all the ups and downs. The book is so cleverly written, there is a reason this was part of World Book Day because it is a book that everyone should read.

Just about one of the worst books I ever read. I had the good sense to abandon it a 3rd of the way through

Passage
What begins as a project to develop an immunity-boosting drug with wonderful prospects turns into an nightmare that ends the world as we know it. This novel takes you on a journey so real and frightning it is scarey to think about it. Broken into two sections the first part covers the origin of the virus and its outbreak: the second section is set 92 years after the epidemic in California. Here we follow a small colony of (mostly) second generation survivors. Are they the only humans left in the world? or have others survived? A great cast of characters and a must read!!

Lesson In Love
She's a lovely singer. Basically a high mezzo with a glorious voice. Prone to seek out lesser known repertoire.

Bad beginning
This is the first book in the series. It is a story about 3 children very unfortunate children. From the first chapter, misfortune befalls them and there are very few happy moments. This is the first book I read where the author tells the meanings of the difficult words. It is an amazing book and I would recommend it to everyone!!!
