If you enjoyed Convenience Store Woman you may enjoy this too...or may not! It's a far darker novel and the violence may put off some people. The plot is truly shocking and bizarre and, frankly, unbelievable, but the cruel humour is laugh out loud funny at times, and the novel explores in a very interesting way what it means to be human and the conventions that govern human activity, and what it means to be an outsider. A challenging and interesting read for sure.
