The collection contains programmes, letters, photographs, newspaper clippings, notes and more about several opera companies and several key opera singers are well documented.

The Godfrey Harding collection is a collection of materials used by Harding in his research for an intended book about English opera from 1885 - 1939.
Though the book was never published, the collection contains programmes, letters, photographs, newspaper clippings, notes and more about opera companies such as the Carl Rosa Company, Moody-Manners Company, O’Mara Opera Company, Allington Charsley Grand Opera Company, Vocalion Opera Company, Godwin Opera Company and others.
Additionally, several key opera singers are well documented, including Ethel Austen and Furness Williams.
