This book is absolutely captivating! Each chapter unfolds secrets both Sarah and Linda try so hard to keep buried. This book tells a tale of how two girls both feel the same about colour and how it doesn't matter; but are forced to hate eachother based on either their parents' view or simply society's view. As the book progresses, both girls come face to face with their true feelings as they start to develop a fondness for one another. I really recommend this book to anyone who's willing to read it. This book really helps the reader get into the character of the opressed race at the time which was black people and really feel what they were going through. I absolutely love it.
